NMC takes action against Dr. Khatri, bans medical practice for a year

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Medical Council has banned heart specialist Dr. Rishi Khatri from treating heart related diseases for one year.

According to Dr. Krishna Prasad Adhikari, registrar of the Council, a meeting of the council on Friday decided to allow Khatri to undergo treatment for heart disease only after presenting evidence of one year of training and additional training.

He said that the NMC received some complaint against Khatri and other doctors, but found Dr. Khatri’s negligence during the investigation and banned his practice for a year.
