Belarus woman scales Mt Everest



KATHMANDU: Belarus woman Ala Kasabutskaya has scaled Mt Everest to become the first woman from her country to climb the world’s highest peak.

She, along with Mingma Dorchi Sherpa, reached the top at 5:45 a.m. on Sunday.

Likewise, Olga Tapordei from Moldova also reached the summit at 7:30 am.

Several climbers are heading towards the summit as the weather has improved.
