Agitating lawyers handing over letter of attention to political parties today



KATHMANDU: Agitating lawyers of Nepal Bar Association, who have been upping the ante against  Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana, are submitting a letter of attention to parliamentarian party offices of political parties represented in the parliament today.

The letter of attention will be submitted in parliamentary party offices of all political parties, House of Representatives and the National Assembly at 2 pm, informed Chandeshwor Shrestha.

Nepal Bar is submitting the letter of attention urging the concerned not to procrastinate the stalemate of the judiciary, said Shrestha.

Lawyers have been demanding that Chief Justice Rana be relieved of his post through impeachment. The Association is also giving continuity to the sit-ins and black arm bands even today from 10 am to 12 pm.

It has been staging demonstrations from October 31. Supreme Court Justices who had been boycotting benches have resumed duties following an agreement to schedule writs through lottery.
