UML Vice Chair Rawal resigns from unity task force

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Vice Chairman Bhim Rawal has resigned from the task force formed to implement the 10-point unity agreement.

He resigned after the Standing Committee meeting of the UML concluded Friday saying that the 10-point unity agreement had not been implemented.

According to Rawal, party Chair KP Oli moved towards not implementing the 10-point unity agreement. He added that he would send his resignation in writing to the party chair.

Rawal also disagreed on the aspect of the implementation of the 10-point agreement at the Standing Committee. He also was displeased about the Standing Committee’s nomination of two leaders as Central Committee members.
