Privatisation Bill tabled in HoR

KATHMANDU:  The Privatisation (first amendment) Bill, 2081 BS has been presented to the House of Representatives (HoR).

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Bishnu Prasad Paudel presented the Bill in the lower house session today.

In his response to queries from lawmakers who opposed the Bill, the Minister said the document was designed with the realisation that sick industries and those in the loss could not let go as they are and it is needed to manage their assets.

The session, by a majority, disapproved the notes of protest by Prabhu Shah, Metmani Chaudhary, Prem Suwal, Chhiring Lhyamu Lama (Tamang), Madhav Sapkota and Chitra Bahadur KC regarding the Bill.
