Ex-CJ’s Forum implores CJ Rana to uphold judiciary’s dignity



KATHMANDU: Ex-Chief Justices Forum has prodded Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana to provide a solution to safeguard the integrity of the judiciary.

Issuing a statement Friday, Forum Chairman Top Bahadur Singh said it is desirable of the Chief Justice to provide a remedy that would help in upholding the dignity, credibility, public trust and independence of the judiciary.

The statement added the House of Representatives should fulfill its constitutional duty by conducting an investigation into allegations concerned if the Chief Justice fails to show generosity in favor of the judiciary.

Recently, Chief Justice Rana has been caught amidst controversies deemed against the values of the judiciary.
