Nepal sees 1,478 new COVID-19 cases, 6 deaths in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 1,478 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,251 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 227 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 355 persons in Kathmandu, 151 in Lalitpur, and 58 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 564 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 6 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,630 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
