CJ Rana and Chief of Army Staff Thapa hold talks

KATHMANDU: Chief of Army Staff Purnachandra Thapa reached the Supreme Court on Monday afternoon and held talks with Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana, sources have said.

The meeting has been considered meaningful as it has been held at a time when the SC is likely to give its verdict on the case of dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR) within this week.

However, sources have also claimed that discussions were held on the issue of transferring the lands of the Army Cavalry behind the Supreme Court to the SC.

The duo held discussions on handing over the nine ropanis of the total 37 ropanis of land covered by NA Cavalry behind the SC building.
