Bartaula elected chair of Japan People’s Progressive Forum



KATHMANDU: The eighth convention of the Nepali Jana Pragatisheel Manch, Japan Kanto Regional Committee, a sister organization of the CPN (Maoist Center), has elected Gokarna Bartaula as chair of the Forum.

The convention held in Tokyo on Saturday unanimously elected a 21-member committee led by Bartaula.

Sunil Devkota, Sagar Karki, Harichandra Banstola, Milan Gaire, Gopal Pandey and Resham KC have been elected as the vice chairs of the new executive committee of the Forum.

Likewise, Niroj Pandey has been elected secretary, Jeevan Pandey and Janaklal Lama joint secretaries, Kumar Koirala the treasurer and Binod Dhakal as the co-treasurer.

Gokul Bhatt, Santosh Sapkota, Anuj KC, Pravin Magar, Rabindra Pandey, Tej Bahadur Thing, Khagendra Prasad Dhakal, Mahashram Bhandari, Anish Rayamajhi, Tara Bahadur Karki and Vishnukumar Aangdangwe have been selected as the members of Committee.

East Asia in-charge Dr. Bhupalman Shrestha was the chief guest in the program presided over by Gokarna Bartaula.
