Nepal sees 1,330 new COVID-19 cases, 5 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 402 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 1,330 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,036 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 294 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 261 persons in Kathmandu, 98 in Lalitpur, and 43 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 402 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 5 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,830 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
