Two Indians held with fake Nepali currency notes

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two individuals with fake Nepali currency notes from Sunsari Dewanganj rural municipality-2 Madhya Harshahi Petrol Pump.

A team from the Area Police Office, Dewanganj, found 16 counterfeit Nepali currency notes of Rs 100 each in possession of Nawal Kishor Pal, 40, and Suman Pal, 32, of Araria Ramnagar, India, on a motorcycle (BR50-S-8406) on On Friday.

Sunsari Police Chief SP Sanjay Singh Thapa said they are investigating the case after taking them on a seven-day remand.

Both of them have been charged under the Section 22 of the Criminal Code, 2074 BS, according to Thapa.
