Yogesh Bhattarai appointed in-charge of press organization of Prachanda-Nepal faction



KATHMANDU: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction has appointed Standing Committee member Yogesh Bhattarai as the in-charge of Press Organization, Nepal.

Bhattarai has been given the responsibility in the vacant post after Rajendra Gautam joined the Prime Minister KP Oli-led faction.

Bishnu Rijal has been appointed as the deputy in-charge of the organization.

Earlier, he was deputy in-charge in the Foreign Department.

The faction has also decided the office bearers of the press organization. After the unification of UML and UCPN (M), Ganesh Basnet, who was the co-coordinator of the press organization, joined the Oli faction.

Maheshwar Dahal has been selected as the coordinator, Bishwamani Subedi, and Bishnu Prasad Sapkota ‘Jugal’ as deputy coordinator and Rajesh Rai as the General Secretary.

A 19-member central office has also been set up. The central office has been set up by Prachanda and Madhav Nepal in the ratio of 50/50 percent.

Saindra Rai, Narendra Saud, Ram Kumar Alan, Amritnath Timalsina, Shurojang Pandey, Hemkarna BK and Chamina Bhattarai from former UML are in the central office.

Similarly, Manoj Ghartimagar, Devram Yadav, Kamal Giri, Bibek Gautam, Mausam Rokamagar, Suresh Chandra Adhikari, Ganga Baral and Dhruv Budhathoki are from the former Maoists group.
