Tender called for construction of tunnels, bridges in Kathmandu-Terai Fast Track



KATHMANDU: The process has started for the construction of tunnels and motorable bridges in Kathmandu-Terai Fast Track.

Nepal Army (NA) Spokesperson Santosh Ballav Poudel said that bids have been invited for the construction of the tunnels and motorable bridges which are considered as ‘milestones’ of the expressway.

Spokesperson Poudel clarified that the construction of the tunnels, which are the main structure of the expressway project, is targeted to be completed within the next three years.

According to him, a contract has been called for the construction of three sections of 6.07 km long tunnel and high bridges in two packages. The longest tunnel of the project under the first package is the Mahadevdanda section.
