NC Prez Deuba hands over 15-point memo to PM Oli to curb COVID-19



KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has handed over a 15-point memorandum to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli urging him to immediately take steps for the control and treatment of the coronavirus.

A team including NC President Deuba reached the Office of the Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar on Thursday morning and handed over a letter to Prime Minister Oli with suggestions.

NC General Secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka, Joint General Secretary and Coordinator of COVID-19 Monitoring Committee Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat, Chief Whip of the Congress Parliamentary Party, Bal Krishna Khad, and other leaders were present.

A meeting of the Congress Parliamentary Party Working Committee on Thursday drew the government’s attention towards the prevention and control of Coronavirus by taking an 11-point decision.

The COVID-19 Monitoring Committee, chaired by Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, has discussed the prevention and control of the coronavirus epidemic in all the provinces, collected suggestions, and submitted a 15-point letter of attention.
