National Youth Federation Nepal to form 5,00,000 ‘cyber army’

KATHMANDU: National Youth Federation Nepal, a youth wing of the Prime Minister KP Oli-led Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has decided to form a “cyber army” in favor of Prime Minister Oli.

Speaking at a press conference in Kathmandu on Saturday, Bachan Bahadur Singh, President of the Federation, said that the decision was taken at a meeting held on February 7-8.

Chairman Singh also said that the cyber army would work to control the propaganda against the government and Prime Minister Oli on social media.

“The cyber army will use its discretion to control social media and people misleading the people about the government and the NCP,” he said.

Chairman Singh said that it has been decided to form committees of youth associations in all 77 districts by mid-April, coordination committees in all federal constituencies, provincial constituency coordination committees, committees at local levels and wards and establish a strong committee system.

Singh also said that 500,000 members would be mobilized like an army without uniforms to fulfill the aspiration of ‘Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepalis’ taken by Prime Minister Oli and to support the party.

He also said that the faction led by Prime Minister Oli would not allow people to be discouraged as the people were frustrated due to the Prachanda-Madhav faction’s lust for power.

He also said that the Youth Association will focus on the upcoming mid-term elections on April 30 and May 10.
