NCP leader Khanal returning home from New Delhi today

KATHMANDU: Former Prime Minister and senior leader of Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction Jhalanath Khanal is returning home from New Delhi on Saturday.

He underwent treatment at Apollo Hospital.

Nepali Ambassador to India Nilamber Acharya had reached the hospital and had taken stock of the health condition of leader Khanal and had wished him a speedy recovery.

Khanal had left for the Indian capital city Delhi via a flight of Nepal Airlines on February 12 for treatment.

Khanal was planning to go to China for the treatment of a neurological disorder that causes body tremors but he canceled the idea and flew to India due to China’s 14-day quarantine provision.

With a PCR negative report, a traveler does not have to stay in quarantine in India.

Earlier, Khanal had received treatment in China and America.
