Nepal sees 296 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 296 new cases of coronavirus while 369 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 271 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 25 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 91 cases in Kathmandu, 10 in Bhaktapur and 19 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the Valley to 120 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, five infected patients died of the infection in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death toll to 11,494.
