Two arrested with 2 kilos of gold at TIA



KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two persons along with two kilos of gold from the parking area of ​​Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Friday.

A team from the Metropolitan Crime Branch arrested Sitaram Chaudhary of Dang and Saroj Sahani of Siraha.

According to the police, they had brought the gold illegally on a flight of Nepal Airlines from Dubai.

Police said it has been found that they had brought gold by making it false bottom in their undergarments, said Airport security chief SSP Rajesh Bastola.

A team from the branch, airport police team and customs officials are conducting further investigation.
