Chief Justice Rana assigns 10 benches today

Agitating lawyers engage in minor scuffle with police



KATHMANDU: Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana has assigned 10 benches today.

Though hearing at the apex court had remained suspended since October 24 as judges refusing to be its part over the allegations that the CJ sought his share in the expansion of the Council of the Ministers, the court has the records of hearings on the cases relating to the habeas corpus cases during this period.

Meanwhile, Nepal Bar Association members have staged a protest today as well. Agitating lawyers engaged in a minor scuffle with the police when the latter tried to disperse them.
