According to Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari, Joint Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, this vaccine is being given to people aged between 50 to 54 years and those who are disabled and refugees in Nepal. The vaccination will be administered from today until July 21.

The vaccination campaign will start in different parts of the country from 10 am, the Ministry of Health and Population has said.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is scheduled to inspect and monitor the vaccination campaign launched by the government for the prevention and control of COVID-19 epidemic.

One million and five hundred thousand doses of Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines donated by the United States of America (USA) had arrived in Nepal on July 12.
