President, Prime Minister inciting ‘hooliganism’: Prachanda

JANAKPURDHAM: Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Nepal faction and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has accused Prime Minister KP Oli and President Bidya Devi Bhandari for inciting in ‘hooliganism’ in the country.

Speaking at a meeting of party cadres in Simara, Bara on Friday, Prachanda ruled out the possibility of general elections if the House of Representatives (HoR) was not reinstated.

He claimed that his faction has 64 percent of the popular vote. “Therefore, they do not have faith in election,” he added.

Prachanda also warned the government that the country would be plunged into darkness if the parliament was not reinstated.

He insisted that 90 percent of the lawmakers in Prime Minister Oli’s faction would support him as soon if the parliament was reinstated.

He remarked that the Election Commission failed to make decision on the issue of the authenticity of the NCP.
