KATHMANDU: A full court meeting of the Supreme Court (Full Court) justices held Thursday has passed the rules for hearing cases through lottery or automated system.

The meeting passed the rules to implement the practice to ensure justice.

Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana has called a meeting of the full court after the agitation of the lawyers demanding his resignation intensified.

The agitating judges, who earlier, demanded the resignation of CJ Rana, were also present in the full court meeting.

However, they have decided not to share the bench with the Chief Justice.

Judges will hear cases such as habeas corpus, retraction of appeals, amendment of judgments, and withdrawal of petitions from tomorrow until the practice of lottery is implemented.
