Kathmanduites experience cold as mercury dips



KATHMANDU: People of Kathmandu are experiencing cold today due to the partial effect of the low pressure area formed in the Arabian Sea.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology said that the effect of the low pressure area in the Arabian Sea has changed Nepal’s weather as well.

Kathmandu sky has been cloudy since Thursday morning with no sign of sunshine.

The minimum temperature in Kathmandu is 9 degrees Celsius while the maximum is 22 degrees Celsius.

According to the Department, there will be partial to moderate cloud cover in the hilly areas of Bagmati Province and Province No. 1.

Meanwhile, there is also a possibility of snowfall in a few places in the mountainous region.
