Inauguration of RPP General Convention to be held at Bhrikuti Mandap



KATHMANDU: The general convention of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has been scheduled to be inaugurated at Bhrikuti Mandap in Kathmandu.

The General Convention scheduled for November 27-29 will be jointly inaugurated by Chairpersons Kamal Thapa, Pashupati Shamsher Rana and Prakash Chandra Lohani.

According to RPP, more than 4,500 delegates from home and abroad will participate in the convention.

More than 4,500 delegates from home and abroad will participate in the four-day convention at Bhrikuti Mandap, said Mohan Shrestha, coordinator of the publicity department.

“Fifteen delegates from abroad will come to Nepal to participate in the convention,” he added.

According to Shrestha, 753 local level chairpersons, 330 state assembly chairpersons, 165 federal constituency chairpersons, 77 district chairpersons and seven provincial chairpersons will participate in the convention.

The voting process will start from November 19 for 2,970 delegates including 9-9 from each state-level election.

According to him, nine representatives are being selected from each province, including 3 from Khas Arya, 3 from women, 1 from Janajati, 1 from Dalit and 1 from the minority community.
