UML General Convention: Motorcycle rallies to be held across the country for publicity

CHITWAN: Motorcycle rallies will be held across the country to publicize the 10th General Convention of the CPN (UML).

Yogesh Bhattarai, the coordinator of the 10th National General Convention Publicity Committee, said that a motorcycle rally would be held at the district headquarters nationwide to publicize the general convention to be held in Chitwan.

Bhattarai said that motorcycle rallies were being organized especially targeting Kathmandu-Chitwan, Butwal-Chitwan and Birgunj-Chitwan.

The rallies will be coordinated by the provincial parties and people’s organizations of Bagmati, Lumbini and Province No. 2.

He said that emphasis has been laid on building a welcoming district.

It will be organized mainly from east-west-north-south to Chitwan as a campaign in highways and municipalities, main markets.

According to Bhattarai, digital media will be used in the UML General Convention to be held from November 23-25, without any graffiti or posters.

He said that the publicity committee is producing banners and video clips in Maithili, Bhojpuri, Awadhi, Tharu, Tamang, Chepang, Nepali and English languages.

UML is preparing to campaign at the general convention by making at least 30 video and audio clips and documentaries.

UML will also use social media including Facebook, TikTok and Twitter for publicity targeting the General Convention.
