Grandson nabbed for killing grandma

KATHMANDU: Bajhang police nabbed a grandson on allegation of killing his grandmother in Bajhang.

According to police Subas Japrel, 23 of Durgathali-5, Bajhang killed his own grandmother Rikhi Devi Japrel, 85, to loot gold.

Rikhidevi was killed with a sickle at 9 am on September 12.

According to the police, the body was found in a toilet near the house where the man’s clothes were covered in blood.

During the interrogation, Subash revealed that the clothes belonged to him.

According to DSP Rupak Khadka of the District Police Office, Subash confessed to the police that he had killed his grandmother.

DSP Khadka informed that the accused confessed to have looted two golden earrings and sold them the same day.

Police have filed a case against Subash and further investigation is underway.
