‘Floor-crossing’ UML lawmakers swearing in Karnali Cabinet today



KATHMANDU: Out of four CPN-UML lawmakers who crossed floor to help Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi get vote of confidence on Friday, three are swearing in the province cabinet today.

According to Chief Minister Shahi’s Secretariat, they will be sworn in by Province Governor Govinda Prasad Kalauni today.

Shahi appointed Nanda Singh Budha, Ambar Bahadur Thapa and Kurma Raj Shahi of UML’s Nepal-Khanal faction as ministers in his cabinet on Saturday.

Budha has been assigned the Ministry for Land Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives, Thapa the Ministry for Physical Infrastructure and Shahi the Ministry for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment. Budha had earlier resigned from the post of Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest and Environment.

The time for swearing in ceremony has not been published yet.
