UML assigns leaders for strategy, parliamentary coordination, and protests



KATHMANDU: Following the arrests of party chair KP Sharma Oli and former home minister Ramesh Lekhak, the CPN-UML has assigned specific leaders to manage its response.

Vice Chair Bishnu Paudel will engage in discussions with other political parties to shape the party’s future strategy, while Vice Chair Rambahadur Thapa Badal will lead dialogue and coordination with parliamentary factions. Meanwhile, Gokarna Bista has been tasked with coordinating legal protests, and overall public mobilization will be managed by the party’s central office.

The party emphasized that these measures aim to ensure a structured and unified approach in responding to the arrests while maintaining engagement with political partners, parliamentary groups, and the public.
