Four security bodies, 69 military officers from six countries undergo training in APF

KATHMANDU: Four security organs and foreign security officers from five countries undergoing military command and staff training have received training on the work of the Armed Police Force Nepal and its working style.

During the training held at the Armed Forces Headquarters in Halchowk in Kathmandu, they were briefed on land, water and air rescue issues and equipment.

Information was provided on various disaster management materials used for disaster management.

Deputy Inspector General of the Armed Police Ganesh Bahadur Thadamgar provided training on Armed Police Force, mandate, Nepal’s structure, Armed Police Force in all 77 districts of the country, Nepal’s operations, Armed Police Force in border security management, technology used by Armed Police Force in disaster management.

He also provided training to the security officials on various issues including the operation and achievements of Nepal, current security challenges and the Armed Police Force in the United Nations Mission for Peace.

In his address to the military officers, Inspector General of Armed Police Shailendra Khanal said that the working exercises between the security apparatus would help them to fulfill their role clearly.

He also shared his experience of participating in the course which plays a special role in enhancing leadership ability and efficiency.

A total of 69 trainee officers from Nepal Army, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, National Investigation Department, USA, UK, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Bangladesh are participating in the course.

Senior Instructor of the course, Brigadier General Bimal Raj Sharma and other officers of the Nepal Army and Armed Police Force were present at the training.
