UML Chair Oli entrusts responsibilities to members of his core team



KATHMANDU: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has entrusted leaders in his core team and his close ones with major responsibilities of the party.

Chairman Oli has also given major responsibilities to the former Maoist leaders, who joined the UML party.

Leaders, who were close to Madhav Kumar Nepal earlier, have not been given any responsibilities.

Senior Vice Chairman Ishwor Pokharel has been nominated as the head of the Policy Research Academy.

Likewise, Yuvaraj Gyawali has been entrusted to head the province and local levels, and Ashta Laxmi Shakya has been given the responsibility as the political coordinator.

Similarly, Ram Bahadur Thapa has been given the responsibility of diplomatic relations and national security, Bishnu Poudel has been given the responsibility of monitoring the organizational work of the party, Subash Nemwang has been given the responsibility of parliamentary affairs and Surendra Pandey has been given the responsibility of state affairs.

Likewise, General Secretary Shankar Pokharel has been given the responsibility of coordinating the organizational work of the party.

Deputy General Secretary Pradip Gyawali has been given the responsibility of the school department while Prithvi Subba Gurung has been given the responsibility of the Publicity and Publication Department.

Another Deputy General Secretary, Bishnu Rimal, has been given two major — head of the Election Department, and finance and fund management.

Party Secretary Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has been appointed as the head of the Department of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Management and has been made in charge of the affiliated organizations.

Another Secretary, Lekhraj Bhatta, has been appointed in-charge of the Far Western Province.

Secretary Gokarna Bista has become the in-charge of the Department of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation.

Another Secretary, Yogesh Bhattarai, has become the head of the Health and Population Department.

Likewise, Chhabilal Bishwakarma has been given the responsibility of Lumbini province, and Raghubir Mahaseth of Province 2.

Padma Aryal has been nominated as the in-charge of Gandaki Province.

Khagraj Adhikari has been given charge of the Organization Department.

Standing committee member Devraj Ghimire has been given the responsibility of in-charge of Province 1.

Kanshinath Adhikari has become Bagmati in-charge.

Similarly, Rajan Bhattarai has been appointed as the in-charge of the Foreign Affairs Department.

Standing committee member Shiva Maya Tumbahangphe has become the head of the Parliamentary Department.
