Rs 700,000 stolen from Lokanthali-based cooperatives



BHAKTAPUR: Rs 700,000 has been stole from Dakshinkali Women’s Savings and Credit Cooperatives based at Lokanthali in Madhyapur Thimi municipality-1.

The money has been stolen from the cooperatives’ office by breaking down the safe at around 1:19 am today, informed Sushila Subedi, the chairperson of the financial institute.

The robbers covered the CC camera with a bag before they robbed the cooperatives.

Chief of Metropolitan Police Circle, Thimi, Narahari Regmi said they have launched a manhunt to nab the robbers involved in the theft and are investigating the case.
