Nepal sees 1,558 new COVID-19 cases, 10 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 397 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 1,558 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,086 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 472 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 274 persons in Kathmandu, 70 in Lalitpur, and 53 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 397 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 10 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,351 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
