Man dies trying to put out forest fire



BUTWAL:  A septuagenarian has died while trying to put out forest fire in Chhaharakhola Community Forest of Malarani-2 Amile, Arghakhanchi on Sunday afternoon.

According to Nepal police, Liladhar Acharya, 78, of Malarani-2, Arghakhanchi died while trying to extinguish forest fire.

Acharya was caught by the fire and died on the spot, the source said.

Similarly, six houses and seven cowsheds of  Eirawoti -1, Belkot, Pyuthan, have been destroyed by fire on Sunday afternoon.

Details of the damage caused by the fire have not been released yet. The fire was brought under control with the help of police and locals and police are investigating further in this regard.
