A bulldozer demolishes makeshift tents constructed at Khula Manch.
KATHMANDU: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) on Wednesday morning cleared encroachment at Khula Manch by bulldozing makeshifts tents.
Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya said that the construction materials and structures constructed by encroaching the public land have been removed as the reconstruction of Durbar High School and Bir Hospital has been completed already.
Activists had been calling on the metropolis to clear the open theater located at the heart of the city.
