Four SC judges return to regular duty



KATHMANDU: Four judges of the Supreme Court (SC) have returned to their regular duties.

Earlier, four judges, who had not heard cases other than habeas corpus demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana, returned to regular work on Tuesday.

Judges Bam Kumar Shrestha, Manoj Sharma, Tej Bahadur KC and Kumar Regmi heard cases other than habeas corpus in their benches.

Judges Prakash Dhungana and Kumar Chudal are only habeas corpus cases.

Meanwhile, the remaining judges are holding discussions with Nepal Bar officials.

The Nepal Bar Association and SC justices have been demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Rana.

Judges are, meanwhile, divided over the issue of Chief Justice Rana’s resignation.
