Nepal Bar preparing to launch third phase of agitation against CJ Rana

Holding discussion with disgruntled SC judges

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Bar Association (NBA) has initiated preparations for the third phase of agitation demanding the resignation of Chief Justice Cholendra Shumsher Rana.

Stating that the third phase of agitation would be more stringent, agitating lawyers warned that the protest would continue till CJ Rana stepped down.

“The sit-in program will continue in the Supreme Court. Other stringent programs will be announced. Discussions are being held with the bar officials and the Supreme Court judges for that,” said Chandeshwar Shrestha, Chairman of the Nepal Bar Association.

Meanwhile, Nepal Bar officials have already initiated discussions with the Supreme Court justices.
