Additional 147 people test positive for coronavirus infection in last 24 hours



KATHMANDU: One hundred and forty seven people have tested positive for coronavirus infection throughout the country in the last 24 hours, out of 1,773 samples tested.

The Ministry of Health and Population stated that one person died due to the coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours taking the death toll from the infection to 11 thousand 278.

Eight hundred and forty five people have recovered from the infection today alone. Among the total infected persons in the country, 780 thousand 776 have got rid of the infection. The recovery rate in Nepal is 97.03 percent.

The number of active cases in Nepal at present stands at 12 thousand 598. Among them, 11 thousand 544 are in home isolation, 1054 are in institutional isolation, 307 are in ICU and 97 are in ventilator support, the Ministry said.
