Floods, landslides wreak havoc in Nepal (In pics/video)

KATHMANDU: Heavy rains and floods wreaked havoc in several parts of the country on Wednesday, disrupting normal life, according to officials.

The torrential rains also inundated several villages, submerged houses, and caused landslides in different parts of Nepal, disrupting vehicular traffic and bringing down power lines.

Heavy rains have turned rivers in spate, forcing the authorities to advise the people living on banks to safer and higher places.
