NC stands with CM Shahi in Karnali

KATHMANDU: Amid a political turmoil going on in Karnali province since long, the main opposition party Nepali Congress (NC) has stood together with Chief Minister Mahendra Bahadur Shahi despite the latter’s possibility to get the majority votes in the ‘vote of confidence’ proposal.

Speaking in the first meeting of the Seventh Session of Karnali Province Assembly, NC province parliamentary leader Jivan Bahadur Shahi said that his party has decided to go on behalf of the proposal.

“More than the temptation for the posts we could get if we wanted, we wanted to use the conscience and the directions of our party and vote in favor of CM Shahi,” Shahi said.
