FMTCL gets new CEO



KATHMANDU: Mohan Prakash Chand has assumed the post of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Food Management and Trading Company Limited (FMTCL) on Thursday.

Chand, a 9th level retired officer of FMTCL, was appointed the CEO as per April 5 decisions of the Council of Ministers.

Nepal Food Corporation was without a chief since September 2017.

FMTCL’s information officer informed that Chand vied for the post through open competition.

The government formed FMTCL by merging two government entities — Nepal Food Corporation and National Trading Limited — on August 13, 2019.
