Nepal records 280 new COVID-19 cases, six deaths in last 24 hours

KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 280 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 252 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 28 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 89 persons in Kathmandu, 20 in Lalitpur, and 9 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 118 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, six people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours taking the coronavirus death toll in the country 11,565 till date.

Meanwhile, 300 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
