CIAA raids office of Changunarayan Municipality



BHAKTAPUR:  The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has raided the office of Changunarayan Municipality and confiscated documents belonging to the office.

The raid followed the complaints filed with the CIAA about irregularities in the purchase and payments relating to goods for the office, said the CIAA Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Risal.

The search took place on Tuesday under the leadership of CIAA official Rishiram Bhattarai.

“The team has seized documents belonging to the construction of roads, other big projects and irregularities in the purchase and payment done by the Municipality,” said Risal.
