NC Gen Convention: All results to be out by Dec 20

Vote count for office-bearers to begin from today itself

KATHMANDU: With the results of the presidential candidates of the Nepali Congress (NC) already out, the vote counting of other office-bearers and central working committee (CWC) member is set to begin from today (Wednesday) itself.

The ballot boxes of other office-bearers and CWC members have been taken to the central party office in Sanepa.

In the second round of voting, Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has emerged the winner.

The counting of votes for the presidential candidates was completed Tuesday night. Election coordinator Gopal Krishna Ghimire said that the counting of votes of the office-bearers and members will be held at the central party office of the NC. He said that the counting of votes would be managed as soon as possible.

He said, “We will start counting the votes from this afternoon. The counting of votes will be started for the office-bearers.” We are working day and night to ensure that the votes are counted quickly and efficiently. ”

According to Ghimire, all the vote count results will come out by December 20.

The general convention of the NC had started from December 10.
