Individuals, institutions contributing to ICT to be awarded



KATHMANDU: The government is to award individuals and institutions making a special contribution to the information and communications technology sector.

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has issued a notice seeking applications to five various genres under the National Information and Communication Technology Award.

The awards would be given away on the occasion of the National Information and Communication Technology Day on May 2.

According to the Ministry, the awards would be presented in five various categories to the best among the individuals and institutions making special contributions to information and communication technology.

The five genres include the National ICT Excellence Award, the National ICT Innovation Award, the National ICT Award (Public Sector), the National ICT Award (Private Sector), and the National ICT Excellence Award (Woman).
The National Information and Communication Technology Day is observed on May 2 every year with the aim of the development and promotion of ICT.

The format of the application form is available on the Ministry’s website. The interested persons and institutions are requested to apply for the award within April 17.

The application form can be registered in the Ministry’s e-mail, [email protected], or at the Information Technology Division.
