Nepal sees 264 new coronavirus cases in last 24 hours

Kathmandu valley sees 128 cases in 24 hours



KATHMANDU: The country recorded a total of 264 new cases of coronavirus while 362 infected patients recovered in the past 24 hours.

Of the confirmed cases, 229 were detected through the RT-PCR method and 35 from the antigen method.

Likewise, there are 109 cases in Kathmandu, 8 in Bhaktapur and 30 in Lalitpur, taking the total cases in the valley to 147 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, there were two coronavirus-related deaths in the past 24 hours. With this, the COVID-19 death toll has reached 11,559 in the country.

There are 5,689 active cases of coronavirus in Nepal as of Friday.
