KATHMANDU: Owing to the continuous obstruction from the main opposition CPN-UML, the 9th session of the Federal Parliament has been postponed till December 21.

Main opposition UML, which had obstructed the parliament throughout the eighth session, continued its protest on Tuesday as well.

Earlier, taking part in the all party meeting convened by Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota, UML lawmakers Krishna Bhakta Pokhrel and Khagraj Adhikari had clarified that they would continue obstruction in the parliament as their demands put forward in the previous session of parliament are not addressed till now.

UML has been accusing Speaker Sapkota of playing role in party split by not taking action against the defecting lawmakers including Madhav Kumar Nepal.

Earlier, in the UML parliamentary party meeting held on Tuesday morning, party Chair KP Oli had instructed the lawmakers to continue obstruction in the parliament.
