Dr. Koirala urges delegates to use their conscience and politics of values while voting

Vows to take the agenda of transformation and change of leadership ahead

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader and presidential candidate Dr. Shekhar Koirala has said since he believed in politics of value and ethics, he “very much hoped” that the delegates of the 14th General Convention would use their conscience while voting.

“I reiterate my stance of safeguarding democracy and sovereignty, consolidating the party, and keeping the party unity intact,” he told a brief press conference in Kathmandu on Tuesday.

He urged all delegates to cast their votes on the basis of their conscience, and not on the basis of faction, or any other selfish motive.

Stating that he would try to put his commitment into action to end all anomalies within the party, he also vowed to take his commitment to a logical conclusion if he won the election.

He, however, said he would readily accept the outcome of the second round of the election to be held this afternoon.

Dr. Koirala vowed to take the agenda of transformation and leadership change in the days ahead.
