Air fare increases as aviation fuel price goes up (With list)



KATHMANDU: Airline operators have increased air fare to adjust the rise in the price of aviation fuel. The portion of fuel price that is usually added to air tickets has been increased.

The price of aviation fuel has gone up by Rs 5 per liter in domestic aviation market and the cost of domestic aviation fuel stands at Rs 101 per liter in Nepal.

The air fare has been increased accordingly to accommodate the hike in fuel price. The maximum fare increased is up to Rs 220.

The increased air fare has come into effect from Sunday itself with the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal’s approval of the revised air fare.

The highest increase of Rs 220 has been made on the Kathmandu-Dhangadhi route. Similarly, the air fare of mountain flights from Kathmandu increased by Rs 170.
