Nepal sees 1,562 new COVID-19 cases, 19 deaths in last 24 hours

Kathmandu Valley witnesses 404 fresh coronavirus cases



KATHMANDU: Nepal recorded a total of 1,562 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,180 persons tested positive for COVID-19 through the RT-PCR method while 382 tested positive through the Antigen method.

According to the Ministry, 294 persons in Kathmandu, 62 in Lalitpur, and 48 in Bhaktapur have been tested positive for COVID-19, making the Kathmandu valley’s fresh coronavirus cases 404 in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry, 19 people have succumbed to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,589 persons have returned home after a complete health recovery from COVID-19.
