Three held with banned drugs



MORANG: The people have landed in a police net for their involvement in trafficking in illegal drugs in the district.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of police from Area Police Office, Pathari intercepted an auto rickshaw, Ko 2 Ha 3396, during a security check and seized 588 tables of Nitravet concealed under the false bottom in the vehicle.

The arrested are Abhishek Kumar Mandal, 19, of Rangeli-6, Subhash Tamang, 19, of Sundar Haraincha-7, and Anamol Ghimire, 28, of Urlabari-6.

Police said they have forwarded a case against them under the Narcotic Drugs (Control) Act, 1976, after taking them under control.
